Everything homeowners usually ask before booking a driveway or patio clean. Not covered here? Just call — it's Declan's phone, and he answers it.
How much does driveway cleaning cost?
As a guide, professional driveway cleaning runs £5–£10 per square metre. A single-car driveway (~15 m²) is typically £75–£150, a two-car driveway (~25 m²) £125–£250, and a larger 3–4 car driveway (~50 m²) £250–£500. The final fixed price depends on the surface type, soiling level and access — and it's confirmed before any work begins. First-time customers get 10% off.
How much does patio cleaning cost?
Patios typically run £3–£6 per square metre: around £45–£90 for a small (~15 m²) patio, £75–£150 for a medium (~25 m²) one, and £120–£240 for a large (~40 m²) space. Try the instant estimate calculator on the pressure washing page for a guide range in seconds.
How long does a driveway or patio clean take?
Most jobs take between two and five hours depending on size and how heavily soiled the surface is. You'll get a time estimate with your quote so you can plan your day.
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. As long as there's access to an outdoor tap and the surface is clear (cars off the driveway, furniture off the patio), the work can be done while you're out. The final walkthrough happens when you're back — you pay when you're happy.
Do you use my water supply?
Yes — like almost all professional pressure washing companies, the clean runs from your outdoor tap. The water cost for a typical driveway clean is small, usually a few pounds at most.
Will pressure washing damage my paving?
Not when it's done properly. Pressure, nozzle choice and technique are matched to the surface: concrete can take a robust clean, while natural stone like Indian sandstone needs a much gentler approach. Using the wrong pressure is how surfaces get scarred — which is exactly why it's worth using someone who does this professionally.
What happens to all the moss and dirt?
The loosened moss, weeds and grime are rinsed away and the area is swept and left tidy. You won't come home to a driveway that's clean in the middle and filthy around the edges.
Which areas do you cover?
Alton (our base), Winchester, Farnham, Fleet, Basingstoke, Petersfield and Bordon/Whitehill — plus the villages in between. Broadly, anywhere within about 30 minutes of Alton. If you're on the edge of that, ask anyway.
How do I get a quote?
Call, email, or use the contact form. A photo of the surface and rough measurements gets you the fastest answer — you'll have a fixed quote within 24 hours, usually sooner. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
Any area you're not satisfied with gets re-cleaned free of charge. And because you pay on completion after a walkthrough, you're never paying for work you haven't approved.
Do you clean in bad weather?
Light rain is no problem — the surface is getting wet anyway. Freezing conditions or storms mean rescheduling for safety and quality, and you'll always be told as early as possible.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or cash on completion, once you've walked the job and you're happy with it. No deposits, no upfront payment.
